4) “The Weekenders” – The Hold Steady [5-4-2010]. This track off latest album by Brooklyn quartet is reminiscent of 80’s and 90’s classic rock.
5) “Strawberry Letter 23” – Quincy Jones featuring Akon [4-2-2010]. With Akon’s holding the harmony and Quincy mixing the backbeats, this cover of the Brothers Johnson classic, released as a single, hits a contemporary groove all its own.
